Rainy Days

Some of my photographs; rain themed photoshoot
collaborated with Nick G Photography.
Model: Cindy Kieu

Major tip I've learned about shooting with a Nikon. Check your iSO when you're shooting outdoors, I guess the pictures look find on your live view but I didn't even realize my iSO was at 3200 (WTF? nerd talk). I like my iSO on 100 or 200. On the other hand, natural lighting is the best!

The photoshoot was based in the rain, oh lovely by the end of the shoot my feel were soaking wet. I guess you can't really tell that it's raining in my shots either (what a bummer). I've been so focused on photoshoots lately that I have nothing planned for blogging! I guess I was going for an old school look but I'm just sad I couldn't get the rain in it. I guess that's how I spend my rainy weekends.

Finals week is over and I have some goodies to share soon! Stay tuned!
Also I'm so sorry I'm not doing such a great job keeping in touch with many of you, I promise I'll make it up!

  6. These photos were nicely taken! And I understand the nerd talk :3 hahaha
And it would've been so awesome if all the rain drops were caught! They still turned out so nicely though, the grey scale adds the rainy day feel to it :)

  8. Wow such stunning photos!! I love the first one~ straight out of a 50's romance! My first proper shoot I had a thing or two to learn about natural light and ISO as well! It turns out that even at the lowest ISO in the middle of the day it's almost impossible to get the right exposure with 1.8 aperture >.<

  17. Omigoodness so inspiring. It's simple, but there's a charm to it. I love the effect of black & white. I don't think a coloured picture would make the same effect.

Does Nikon change your custom iso settings or was it just set on auto at that time?
